Heidelberg Materials is hiring multiple process and mobile plant operators for a Perth Hardrock quarrying operation located 4 km south of Byford, accessible from Rockingham and Mandurah. The role is full-time, with a stable schedule in the Perth Metro area and no overnight or remote camp work.

The site runs from 08:30 to 18:30 on weekdays, with maintenance inspections, plant operation, and general quarrying responsibilities as core duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in fixed plant process operations or mobile crushing operations.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proactive attitude toward plant maintenance.
• Competence in operating mobile plant and equipment (e.g., loaders and dump trucks).
• Positive can-do attitude; additional training may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor crushing plant and associated machinery safely and efficiently.
• Conduct routine plant inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with plant set-up, calibration, and shutdown procedures.
• Operate mobile plant – loader, articulated haul truck, skid steer – supporting hard-rock processing operations.

Heidelberg Materials is hiring multiple process and mobile plant operators for a major Perth Hardrock quarrying operation located 4 km south of Byford, accessible from both Rockingham and Mandurah. The role is full‑time and stable, offering a full schedule within the Perth Metro area.

About the Site

Byford Quarry has supplied crushed hard rock building materials to the Perth market for over half a century, with operations projected to extend for a further 75 years.

About the Role

Shift starts at 08:30am and ends at 06:30pm on weekdays. The position includes fixed‑plant maintenance inspections, mobile plant operation, and general quarrying and processing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate mobile plant – loader, articulated haul truck, skid steer – supporting hard‑rock processing operations and progress onto other mining equipment.

Skills & Experience

• Prior experience in fixed plant process operations, fixed or mobile crushing operations, or other screening or mineral processing operations.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proactive attitude toward plant maintenance.
• Competence in operating mobile plant and equipment (e.g., loaders and dump trucks).
• Positive can‑do attitude required.
• Additional training can be provided for the right candidate.
