Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a self-motivated Quarry Operator to join the Bacchus Marsh Quarry team in VIC. You will operate and assist with plant equipment, perform light maintenance, and support general site duties in a safety-conscious, team-focused environment.

This full-time role offers an hourly base rate starting from $34.01, with penalties and superannuation, Monday to Friday hours, and occasional half-day Saturday shifts as workload requires.

Qualifications

• RII tickets required or wiling to obtain.
• Experience operating heavy quarry equipment preferred.
• Ability to work safely and follow OH&S procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate day-to-day quarry equipment and perform light maintenance.
• Assist with general site duties and labouring tasks.
• Support washing, grading or processing activities if required.
• Contribute to a safe, efficient, results-driven work environment.

Operate and Assist

Heidelberg Materials Australia is one of the country’s leading suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We produce aggregates, including crushed rock, sand, gravel, and road base from a number of locations across Australia.

We are currently seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Quarry Operator to join the team at our Bacchus Marsh Quarry in VIC.

This is a full-time position with overtime and weekend work according to business needs.

In your new role with us, you will:

• Carry out day-to-day operation and light maintenance of plant and equipment
• Operate heavy equipment, including front-end loaders, dump trucks, and water trucks
• Grader experience is advantageous but not essential
• Experience with wash plant and slimes processing is advantageous but not essential
• Perform general labouring activities, including cleaning, hosing, and shovelling

• Hourly base rate from $34.01, dependent on experience, plus penalty rates and superannuation
• Monday to Friday, average hours 6:00am to 4:00pm
• Half-day Saturday shifts according to business requirements (approximately two per month, depending on workload)
