Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking an experienced Quarry Manager to lead the Axedale Sand & Gravel Quarry, 25 minutes east of Bendigo, Victoria. You will oversee operations, safety, environmental measures and P&L responsibilities in a dynamic, multi-faceted role.

You will drive continuous improvement across production, maintenance, and logistics while upholding Zero Harm and strong community relations. A fully maintained company vehicle and bonus are included.

Qualifications

• Experience as quarry manager/supervisor with relevant industry qualifications.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a quarry or mining environment.
• Able to drive continuous improvement across the Supply Chain.
• Strong safety mindset and commitment to Zero Harm.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage people to achieve goals and drive performance.
• Make business decisions impacting performance, including targets, budgeting and cost control.
• Oversee day-to-day operations: quarry development, stormwater, environmental management, maintenance schedules.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced a Quarry Manager to lead the team at our Axedale Sand & Gravel Quarry in Country Victoria, 25 minutes East of Bendigo.

Reporting to the Area Manager, this role is a multi-faceted role leading the quarry and overseeing the daily management of the operation, including production, continuous improvement, health & safety, logistics and full P&L responsibility.

In your new role, you will be:

• Leading and managing people while bringing your team along the journey to successfully achieve goals.
• Making business decisions that impact the overall performance of the business, including achieving agreed targets / KPIs, financial planning, budgeting and managing costs within budget.
• Managing the day-to-day operations where you are responsible for quarry development, storm water and environmental management, and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Focused on continuing our approach to rehabilitation and maintaining our reputation within the industry and community as a responsible and sustainable partner.
• Bring a strong safety mindset and manage high risk activities and reduce risk exposure for self and others.
