Job summary

Q-CTRL is seeking a Senior Lab and Field Technician to support field trials and deployment of quantum sensing hardware in real-world environments. You will prepare laboratories, manage logistics, and install delicate assemblies for on-site field tests.

You will troubleshoot complex hardware, maintain lab equipment, and design simple CAD brackets to accelerate builds, working closely with quantum scientists and engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying cutting-edge hardware in field trials.
• Hands-on electronics, optics or laser lab environments.
• Experience with basic programming and networking (Python).
• Experience collaborating with scientists and researchers in an R&D setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in field trials: in-lab prep, testing, logistics, transport, installation and operation of sensors.
• Troubleshoot and fix complex hardware issues during trials and deployments.
• Maintain and train others to use lab equipment (3D printers, laser cutter, tools).
• Create simple CAD brackets and mounting hardware to support rapid iteration.
