Job summary

CMC Markets ANZ is seeking a Quantitative Analyst to provide desk‑facing support for the Options trading system and related workflows. You will work with Options traders, Quants, and IT teams to investigate issues, automate tasks and enhance Python based tools.

The role requires 2–3 years in front‑office support or a similar desk facing technical role in financial markets and a degree in quantitative finance, mathematics or computer science.

Qualifications

• Degree in quantitative finance, mathematics or computer science or equivalent.
• 2–3 years in front‑office support or desk facing technical support in financial markets.
• Strong Python scripting ability to read, debug and enhance scripts.

Responsibilities

• Provide desk-facing functional and technical support for the Options trading system and related derivatives workflows.
• Collaborate with Options traders, Quants, and IT across locations including London stakeholders.
• Investigate trading system issues, data and workflow problems, and escalate when needed.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts and support tools used by the desk and Quants team.
• Automate repetitive tasks and assist with testing, documentation and runbooks.
