Job summary

CMC Markets is seeking an Options Quant Support Analyst to join the Quants team in Sydney. You will provide desk-facing functional and technical support between traders, Quants, and IT, while coding Python scripts to automate workflows. This is a hands-on role requiring collaboration across Business Operations and Technology.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in front-office support within financial markets and a strong grounding in quantitative finance and Python scripting.

Qualifications

• Degree in quantitative finance, mathematics, or computer science or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience in front-office support, trading application support or desk-facing technical support in financial markets.
• Proficient in Python scripting; capable of reading, debugging and enhancing scripts.

Responsibilities

• Provide desk-facing functional and technical support for the Options trading system and related workflows.
• Collaborate with Options traders, Quants, Business Operations and Technology, including London-based stakeholders.
• Develop, maintain and enhance Python scripts and support tools used by the desk and Quants team.
• Automate repetitive tasks and assist with testing, documentation and runbooks.
• Gather requirements from Front Office users to shape practical workflow improvements.
