Mako is seeking a highly motivated Quantitative Trader to join our Sydney options market making team, focusing on Kospi Index Options. You will manage a proprietary trading book, generate insights, and apply quantitative tools to drive results.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of systematic trading experience in options.
• Experience designing and implementing trading strategies through quantitative research.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in a STEM discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science).
• Proficiency in Python and/or C++.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills; ability to interpret large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Generate and implement trading ideas using data-driven research.
• Analyse historical trading performance to improve strategies and execution.
• Monitor and manage risk exposures in real-time.
• Use quantitative tools to build hypotheses, design experiments, and back test strategies.
