Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a university student or recent graduate for a Quality & Test Automation Engineer – Student or Graduate role in Sydney, NSW. You will work with an experienced team to develop automated testing approaches, using code and modern tools to keep products reliable as new features are released.

This role offers hands-on experience in quality engineering, software testing automation and collaboration with developers to test APIs, backend services and UI features.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in computer science, software engineering or IT.
• Foundational knowledge of software testing concepts and APIs.
• Exposure to automated testing tools through projects or internships.

Responsibilities

• Building automated tests for software products and features.
• Developing testing tools to enable testing at scale.
• Helping create automated testing frameworks and processes.
• Testing APIs, backend services and user-facing features.
• Identifying defects, reliability issues and potential points of failure.
• Working with developers to understand new features and how they should be tested.
• Supporting regression testing as products evolve.
• Exploring how AI can improve testing, quality assurance and defect identification.
