Job summary

Accenture in Ballarat is seeking a Junior Quality Engineer / Tester who is a current student seeking real-world testing experience. You will work with experienced engineers and product teams to test, document, and improve software quality while you continue your degree.

You will learn testing fundamentals, report defects, and gain exposure to automation concepts. This role requires on-site presence at the client office three days a week in Ballarat.

Qualifications

• Student enrolled in IT/engineering/software with at least 12 months remaining.
• Paid practical experience in a technology environment during studies.
• Security clearance requirement for Australian citizens or eligible to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Test, discover, and report defects using Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Manual functional testing of user interfaces and features.
• Learn Accenture quality standards, processes and guidance.
• Explore automation and performance testing concepts.
• Collaborate with mentors and cross‑functional teams to improve quality.
