Job summary

Qantas is launching a Quality Engineer role at the new Product Innovation Centre in Adelaide. You will design, automate, and execute testing strategies to deliver robust software that meets customer needs.

You’ll collaborate with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to improve frameworks, tools, and quality practices across services and platforms. With 3+ years in Quality Engineering and hands-on automation testing, you’ll work on RESTful APIs, CI pipelines, and cloud platforms

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience including hands-on automation testing across service integrations
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience with BDD, CI, Git, and cloud platforms such as AWS
• Ability to define and execute test strategies that validate end-to-end user journeys, data flows, and system integrations
• Ability to implement automated test scripts for service integrations, with a focus on efficiency and repeatability
• Proficiency with testing frameworks/tools such as Selenium, Karate, Postman, and JUnit
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture, batch processing, ESB, and point-to-point integrations
• Experience performing performance/load testing on integrated services to ensure scalability and reliability
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills (Miro, Jira, Confluence)
