Job summary

Business Review Group is seeking a Quality Manager / Deputy Chief Engineer (L3) to join the IWNSPO Sustainment Directorate in Canberra. You will lead quality governance, prepare for AEO certification, review engineering artefacts, and support Engineering Managers in developing Engineering Plans.

You will drive internal audits, ensure compliance with Australian and international standards, and guide cross‑functional teams across engineering, logistics and cyber to deliver resilient systems for

• Preparing IWNSPO for AEO initial certification of its Engineering Management System.
• Conducting reviews and analysis to assure EMS performance and maintain AEO certification.
• Supporting project/product Engineering Managers in developing Engineering Plans.
• Reviewing IWNSPO Engineering Artefacts and Plans for compliance with standards.
• Developing periodic internal audits in preparation for external AEO certification.
• Providing direction regarding relevant Australian and International Standards, regulations and Defence requirements.
• Leading continual improvement actions across IWNSPO Engineering, Logistics and Cyber.

About the Role

This position sits within CASG's Integrated Warfare Networks and Systems Program Office (IWNSPO) Sustainment Directorate (CJC03), supporting the Joint Data Networks Sub Program.

The Quality Manager / Deputy Chief Engineer is a quality and governance position responsible for:

• Preparing IWNSPO for AEO initial certification of its Engineering Management System.
• Conducting reviews and analysis to assure organisational EMS performance and maintain AEO certification.
• Supporting project/product Engineering Managers in developing Engineering Plans.
• Reviewing IWNSPO Engineering Artefacts and project/product Engineering Plans to assure compliance with standards.
• Developing periodic IWNSPO internal audits in preparation for external AEO certification.
• Providing direction regarding relevant Australian and International Standards, regulations and Defence requirements.
• Leading continual improvement actions across IWNSPO Engineering, Logistics and Cyber, including pre- and post-activity reviews.
