Job summary

Downer Professional Services in Canberra is seeking a Quality Engineer to contribute to engineering plans, governance and compliance across defence programs.

You will review artefacts, ensure EMS performance, and guide projects on Australian and international standards, regulations and Defence requirements, backed by a strong work ethic.

The role requires AGSVA clearance and may involve ITAR compliance, with opportunities to drive continual improvement across Engineering, Logistics and Cyber.

Qualifications

• Currently hold and maintain an AGSVA Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
• ITAR compliance may be an inherent requirement in some roles.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct reviews and analysis to assure organisational performance of the EMS to maintain AEO certification.
• Review of Engineering Artefacts including all project/product level Engineering Plans to assure compliance to standards.
• Providing direction to projects/products on the relevant Australian and International Standards, regulations and Defence requirements.
• Leadership of continual improvement actions across the Engineering, Logistics and Cyber, including pre and post activity reviews.
