Job summary

Aphise is seeking a Quality Manager / Senior Quality Engineer to lead and evolve the quality function within our defence-focused advanced manufacturing environment in Adelaide. You will work with engineering, manufacturing, and operations to strengthen quality systems, resolve issues, ensure compliance to customer specs and standards, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven actions.

Qualifications

• Experience in defence, advanced manufacturing or automotive quality environments.
• Strong root cause analysis, problem-solving and corrective actions.
• Ability to interpret technical specs and customer quality requirements.
• Experience leading or mentoring quality team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the quality team, building capability and accountability.
• Maintain and improve quality management systems, processes and documentation.
• Drive quality performance across manufacturing and project delivery.
• Investigate quality issues, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Establish robust processes to prevent recurring defects and improve consistency.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and operations to resolve technical and quality challenges.
• Ensure customer specifications, technical requirements and applicable standards are met.
• Use quality data to identify improvement opportunities and measure results.
• Promote continuous improvement and a proactive approach to quality throughout the business.
