Uniting NSW.ACT is seeking a Quality Improvement Specialist (Registered Nurse) to drive quality, safety and compliance across ACT and rural NSW aged care services. The role is full-time and mobile, with travel to multiple locations and at least two overnight stays monthly.

You will provide clinical quality advice, coach teams, oversee audits and incident management, and embed continuous improvement practices to ensure person-centred care across the region.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience in Residential Aged Care sector within a similar role.
• Experience in clinical governance, quality improvement, compliance or audit within aged care or health.
• Strong understanding of aged care quality standards, risk, incident and complaints management.
• Ability to analyse data and support evidence-based improvement actions.
• Current driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle for travel.

Responsabilités

• Provide specialist clinical quality advice and coaching to operational teams.
• Maintain and support service quality assurance frameworks, systems and processes.
• Coordinate and support audits, quality reviews and continuous improvement activities.
• Review hazards, incidents, complaints and clinical risks to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Partner with facilities to prepare for and respond to compliance requirements, including PSATs and accreditation activities.
• Support development of clear, timely, person-centred complaint responses.
• Use clinical and operational data to guide practical improvement plans and monitor progress.
• Build team capability through education, mentoring and reflective practice.
• Participate and comply with all quality management systems and processes.
