Job summary

Huon Aquaculture is seeking a proactive Quality Improvement Coordinator to join our Parramatta Creek team. You will work with QA and Production to maintain food safety and quality, performing daily checks and driving improvements across shifts.

You will support GMP inspections, calibrations and testing, with strong communication to build cross-team relationships and ensure safety standards are met. This full-time role offers opportunity within a global organisation while staying connected

Qualifications

• Experience in quality control within food processing, manufacturing or FMCG.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to raise concerns when something isn't right.
• Good communication skills and ability to build relationships across teams.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Flexibility to work across production shifts, including early mornings and nights.

Working closely with our Quality Assurance and Production teams, you'll play an important role in maintaining food safety standards, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring our premium salmon meets the highest quality standards.

This is a full-time role requiring flexibility to work across production shifts, including early mornings and night shifts.

What you'll do

Carry out daily food safety, hygiene and quality checks across production.

Complete equipment pre-start checks, calibrations and testing.

Monitor product quality, labelling, weights and temperature controls.

Conduct GMP inspections and ensure food safety standards are maintained.

Work closely with QA and Production teams to identify and implement improvements.

Support corrective actions, safe work practices and compliance requirements.

What you'll bring
