Job summary

Huon Aquaculture Company seeks a proactive Quality Improvement Coordinator to safeguard food safety and drive improvements in production at Parramatta Creek. You’ll collaborate with QA and Production to ensure premium salmon meets the highest quality standards.

The role requires flexibility to work across production shifts, including early mornings and nights, and to maintain rigorous checks and corrective actions as part of daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality control, preferably in food processing or FMCG.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to raise concerns when needed.
• Clear communication and cross-team relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily food safety, hygiene and quality checks across production.
• Complete equipment pre-start checks, calibrations and testing.
• Monitor product quality, labelling, weights and temperature controls.
• Conduct GMP inspections and ensure food safety standards are maintained.
• Work with QA and Production teams to identify and implement improvements.
• Support corrective actions and safe work practices.
