Job summary

CPB Contractors is delivering major infrastructure in Queensland and seeks a Quality Engineer to join the project team in Brisbane. You will manage site QA requirements, support the project team, and ensure compliance with defined quality standards. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will coordinate records, inspections, and QA processes to deliver quality outcomes on a large-scale project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (desirable).
• Quality Management experience on large infrastructure projects.
• Internal Auditor and/or Lead Auditor qualifications highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate closure of project delivery records to Client requirements (Lots and ITPs).
• Coordinate inspections with Engineers and investigate quality issues.
• Assist in maintaining the Project Quality Management System and data/document/record management.

The Project

CPB is working on a large infrastructure project as part of building Queensland’s future. We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our project delivery team on a project based in initially Brisbane until you transfer on to the project.

As a Quality Engineer, reporting directly to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for the management and facilitation of all site-specific quality assurance requirements and providing day-to-day support to project team members to ensure that specified project quality requirements are met.

You will be responsible for:

• Monitoring and coordinate closure of project delivery records and ensure completeness of records to Client requirements, including Lots and ITPs.
• Working with Engineers to coordinate inspections, identifying and investigating any quality issues.
• Assisting in monitoring and maintaining the requirements of the Project Quality Management System and systems for data, document and record management.
• Maintaining quality registers and activities across the sites.

Minimum requirements for this role include the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar (desirable).
• Quality Management experience on large infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of relevant Australian and International standards, both technical and those related management systems.
• Internal Auditor and/or Lead Auditor qualifications highly desirable.
