Job summary

Premier Fresh Australia is seeking a detail‑oriented Quality Assurance professional to support production quality throughout our Melbourne facility. You will conduct inspections, ensure GMP hygiene, and document outcomes to uphold food safety standards.

The role supports internal audits, maintains SOPs, and works with production teams to drive continuous improvement and consistent product quality.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety requirements.
• Experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control in manufacturing.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Confident on the production floor collaborating with teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine quality assurance and food safety inspections throughout production.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct routine quality assurance and food safety inspections throughout the production process.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with GMP, hygiene, and housekeeping standards.
• Perform quality checks and accurately document inspection outcomes.
• Support internal audit activities and assist in preparing for external audits.
• Adhere to HACCP, GMP, and all food safety and quality management requirements.
• Assist in the review and maintenance of SOPs, work instructions, and quality-related documentation
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant working environment in line with workplace health and safety and food safety requirements.
• Collaborating with internal teams to support continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and consistent product quality.

You're an organised and detail-oriented professional with a proactive approach to quality, compliance, and problem-solving. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have a keen eye for detail, and are comfortable working collaboratively with operational teams to maintain high standards.

We're Looking For:

• Approximately one year of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, food manufacturing, or a similar environment.
• Sound understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety requirements.
• Confidence working on the production floor and engaging effectively with production teams to promote quality and food safety standards.
• Knowledge of food quality systems and food safety principles.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and complete documentation to a high standard.
• Practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
