Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of commercial QA experience as a technical test engineer.
• Strong background in data-centric testing, beyond functional testing.
• Experience testing data pipelines and data warehousing, with GCP/BigQuery preferred.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD and automated test frameworks; proficient with Jira.

FinXL is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Test Engineer to join our Banking and Finance consulting practice. In this engagement, you will become a key member of our team and be deployed with an Enterprise Banking organisation on a high-profile transformation project. This position can be based from either of the following cities: Sydney, Brisbane (Hybrid). FinXL is also able to take over existing visas and provide sponsorship for consultants.

Responsibility

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.

Ensure the quality of data pipelines, ETL processes, and analytics solutions.

Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and deployment pipelines.

Perform robust data validation to ensure accuracy and completeness across platforms.

Identify, document, and track defects while collaborating with development teams.

Support the setup of effective testing solutions for modern data applications.

Advocate for continuous improvement and apply innovative automated solutions.

Key Skills & Experience

3 to 5+ years of commercial experience in QA as a technical test engineer.

Solid technical background with a focus beyond just functional testing.

Sound knowledge of testing in a data-centric environment, preferably data warehousing.

Hands-on experience with GCP technologies such as BigQuery is highly preferred.

Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated test frameworks.

Familiarity with agile tools and environments, including Jira.

Excellent communication skills for seamless cross-functional team collaboration.
