The role covers audits, document control, supplier coordination and customer-facing QA tasks. The successful candidate will implement HACCP/GMP practices, manage QA records, and support new-product development with cross-functional teams.

Qualifikationen

• QA/QC experience in food manufacturing, blending, packing or related operations.

• Proficient with Excel/Google Sheets, Word, email and digital filing; familiarity with inventory/order-management or accounting systems.
• Desirable: SQF audit/readiness experience, internal-auditing training, supplier/customer QA experience.

Quality Assurance & Operations Support Coordinator

We are seeking a full-time, practical and organised QA professional who enjoys working across both the production floor and the office. You will coordinate day-to-day food safety and quality assurance while supporting administration, customer service and routine business operations in a small, hands-on team. QA is the primary responsibility. Administrative and customer-service work must be planned around essential inspections, batch reviews and food safety controls.

Key responsibilities

Maintain existing QA systems: Maintain and improve the food safety and quality system, HACCP plan, GMP procedures, specifications and controlled documents; support certification maintenance, SQF readiness and staff guidance.

Develop and adapt packaging: Develop packaging solutions for new products and customer requirements; coordinate material selection, packaging/sealing trials, specifications, risk assessments and approved implementation with suppliers and production.

Maintain audit-ready records: Organise, review and maintain all QA records, including batch, inspection, cleaning, traceability, retention-sample and test records, to meet internal and external audit requirements. Support audits and follow corrective actions through to closure.

Customer QA support: Review customer QA requirements, respond to QA questions and prepare requested documents using verified information. Refer work exceeding standard QA or the agreed scope to management for approval and additional-fee costing before commitment.

Labels and packaging: Check packaging, label content and artwork against customer-approved specifications; prepare, print and apply labels as required, verifying product identity, allergens and batch/date codes before use.

Customer communication and administration: Respond to customer emails and written correspondence, provide order and project updates, and maintain related records, filing and routine administrative tasks.

Laboratory samples: Prepare, identify, document and arrange dispatch of samples for laboratory testing; track submissions, follow up results and refer technical findings for authorised review.

New product development support: Assist with new-product samples, trials and specification development; coordinate customer requirements, materials, test samples and development records with production and suppliers.

About you

Practical QA/QC experience in food manufacturing, blending, packing or a closely related operation, with the ability to manage routine QA work independently.

Working knowledge of HACCP, food GMP, allergens, traceability, specifications, COAs, batch records and non-conforming product controls; relevant HACCP training is strongly preferred.

Qualification in food science, food technology, quality or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant practical experience.

Strong attention to detail and sound judgement, including confidence to challenge incomplete records or unsafe practices constructively.

Professional customer communication and accurate document preparation skills. Competence with Excel/Google Sheets, Word, email and digital filing; Familiarity with inventory, order-management or accounting systems is desirable.

Desirable: SQF audit/readiness experience, internal-auditing training, supplier/customer QA experience and familiarity with contract packing.
