Job summary

UNIWAY PTY. LTD. is seeking a hands-on Quality Assurance & Operations Support Coordinator to manage day-to-day food safety and QA activities across production and office settings.

The role covers audits, document control, supplier coordination and customer-facing QA tasks. The successful candidate will implement HACCP/GMP practices, manage QA records, and support new-product development with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• QA/QC experience in food manufacturing, blending, packing or related operations.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, allergens, traceability, COAs, batch records, and non-conforming controls.
• Qualification in food science, food technology, quality or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong attention to detail and sound judgement; ability to challenge incomplete records or unsafe practices.
• Proficient with Excel/Google Sheets, Word, email and digital filing; familiarity with inventory/order-management or accounting systems.
• Desirable: SQF audit/readiness experience, internal-auditing training, supplier/customer QA experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain existing QA systems: HACCP plan, GMP procedures, specifications and controlled documents; support certification maintenance and SQF readiness.
• Develop packaging solutions; coordinate material selection, packaging trials, specifications and risk assessments with suppliers and production.
• Maintain audit-ready records: review and maintain QA records; support audits and corrective actions to closure.
• Respond to customer QA requirements; prepare documents and escalate beyond scope for approval and pricing.
• Check packaging, labels and artwork against specs; verify identity, allergens and batch/date codes.
• Respond to customer emails; provide order/project updates and maintain related records.
• Prepare and dispatch laboratory samples for testing; track results and refer findings for review.
• Assist with new-product samples, trials and specification development with production and suppliers.
