Kidz Connect Early Learning Centre in New South Wales is seeking a Room Leader to create a safe, nurturing, and inspiring learning environment where children, families and educators are valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. You will lead activities, maintain confidentiality, and work closely with the Director to implement centre policies.

The role requires a genuine passion for early childhood education, strong communication and teamwork, and a commitment to ongoing professional

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III or IV in Early Childhood Education is required.
• Current Working with Children Check is mandatory.
• First Aid and CPR certifications are required or obtained prior to commencement.
• Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications or willingness to obtain.
• Child Protection Mandatory Reporting Certificate is required.
• Child Safe Foundations of Child Safety Certificate is required.

Responsabilités

• Assist in preparing materials and equipment for children's education and activities.
• Manage children's behaviour and guide social development.
• Establish and maintain good communication and a positive working relationship with the educators and Director
• Respect and maintain confidentiality regarding the management teams, the operation of the centre and the parents and children
• Attend monthly meetings with other educators and directors
• Consult and liaise with parents on centre philosophy, policies and procedures
• Support parents with questions and/or concerns in person, writing, telephone and/or email
• Encourage parent participation in special events and service operations
• Manage children's programs in accordance with their goals, aims, objectives, policies and procedures
• Regularly inspect staff are up to date with the record keeping and monitoring of individual children's progress and development

Key responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of materials and equipment for children's education and recreational activities

Manage children's behaviour and guide children's social development

Establish and maintain good communication and a positive working relationship with the educators and Director

Respect and maintain confidentiality regarding the management teams, the operation of the centre and the parents and children

Attend monthly meetings with other educators and directors

Consult and liaise with parents on centre philosophy, policies and procedures

At least an AQF Certificate III or IV in Early Childhood Education Sector

At least 1 year of relevant work experience

Current Working with Children Check

Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)

Child Protection Mandatory Reporting Certificate

Child Safe Foundations of Child Safety Certificate

Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills

Sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework (NQF) (desirable)
