Job summary

Kool Beanz Childcare on the Gold Coast is seeking an inspiring Centre Director to lead a busy early childhood service. You will shape culture, mentor a high-performing team and ensure quality outcomes across operations.

You will oversee staffing, enrolments, budgets, compliance, and relationships with families and the community. This hands-on leadership role offers mentorship and growth within a supportive, family-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience as a Centre Director
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education (ACECQA approved)
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQF, NQS and Child Safe Standards
• Excellent leadership, communication and mentoring skills
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Experience using Owna and Microsoft Office Suites

About the Role

This is a hands‑on leadership position that combines strategic centre management with active involvement in the day‑to‑day life of the service.

As Centre Director, you will be responsible for:

• Leading, mentoring and developing a high‑performing and engaged team.
• Building a positive, inclusive and collaborative workplace culture.
• Ensuring strong compliance, quality and operational outcomes.
• Developing meaningful and lasting relationships with children, families, educators and the local community.
• Supporting an exceptional learning environment that reflects the individual needs and interests of every child.
• Driving continuous improvement across the service.
• Providing strong leadership while maintaining a visible and approachable presence within the centre.

You will be supported by an experienced Area Manager and dedicated Support Management Team, providing you with the autonomy to lead your service while having access to ongoing mentorship, guidance and professional support.

About You:

• Working With Children Check
• Current Police Check
• First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certifications
• Food Safety Supervisor certification
• Geccko Child Safety Certificate
