Job summary

CoreTemp Australia is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Plumber to install and service HVAC systems across residential and commercial projects. Based from our Somerville and Ringwood operations in Melbourne, you will manage ducted gas, evaporative, split and VRV networks through to hydronic packages, working with builders and property managers from set-out to commissioning.

• Substantial (at least 3 years) post apprenticeship experience installing and servicing HVAC across residential or commercial sites.
• Strong breakdown, repair and preventative maintenance experience.
• Proven ability to run your own jobs and make sound technical calls without escalation.
• Hands on experience across ducted, split and reverse cycle systems, with VRV or hydronic highly regarded.
• Strong communication with clients, builders and consultants.

Responsibilities

About the role

This is a hands-on installation and service role for a licensed mechanical plumber across residential and commercial projects. The work spans ducted gas, evaporative, split and reverse cycle systems through to VRV, hydronic and full mechanical services packages. You will work alongside builders, consultants and property managers, from set out through to commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and service ducted, split, reverse cycle, VRV and hydronic systems
• Deliver mechanical services packages on commercial projects
• Fault find, repair and carry out preventative maintenance
• Liaise with builders, consultants, property managers and homeowners on site
• Supervise apprentices and coordinate other trades
• Complete compliance certificates, VBA and VEU documentation accurately

About you

You take initiative and you get things done. You would rather solve the problem than pass it along, and you do not need chasing. You are a genuine team player who is happy to invest time and knowledge in the apprentices. You take pride in your paperwork as much as your workmanship, which matters on VEU accredited work. You want to keep sharpening your skills on systems worth learning.

You will also bring:

Qualifications and licences

• Relevant Mechanical Plumbing trade qualification, registration and licences
• Current Victorian plumbing licence with Mechanical Services (Type D)
• ARCtick RAC01 refrigerant handling licence
• Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Current Australian driver's licence

Nice to have, not essential

• Daikin, Brivis or Mitsubishi Electric product experience
• VEU compliance and documentation experience
• EWP licence
