Job summary

Grub Organics on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, is hiring a Qualified Chef for our busy wholefoods cafe. This full-time role runs four days a week from 5:30am to 3pm, with no night shifts, offering a balanced lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chef with relevant certification.
• Experience with wholefoods and brunch menus preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen while maintaining high standards.

Job description

We are looking for another Qualified Chef in our busy new wholefoods cafe.

This position will involve the preparation & execution of our A La Carte Brunch Menu, together with daily Food Cabinet offerings. It is a Full-Time position that will involve working 4 days/week from 5:30am - 3pm, with no night work (and the opportunity to create a beautiful balanced lifestyle).

You’ll be working with exceptional quality, organic & locally-sourced ingredients, amongst a team of highly passionate foodies. The cafe houses a brand new commercial kitchen, within our growing retail organic food store - located straight across the road from one of the most pristine beaches in the world.

We are looking for a chef who:

• Is passionate about quality wholefoods, fresh organic produce & cooking 'from scratch'
• Is on the same nutritional page (evolutionary / traditional wholefoods) & has no issues handling meat (always grass-fed / organic)
• Is able to work quickly / efficiently in a busy kitchen
• Values traditional food preparation methods, community & connection
• Embodies self-responsibility & is passionate about a healthy workplace culture
• Brings a positive attitude of gratitude to everything they do

This role is suited to someone who works well in a team & is knowledgeable about health / wholefoods. Baking skills & experience are very welcomed.
