Job summary

6Points, via Indigenous Business Growth, seeks a QS/Contracts Administrator for a major transport infrastructure project across South East Queensland. The role covers package-level quantity surveying and contract administration for works around live transport assets.

Ideal candidates have 3–6 years contractor-side commercial experience and a degree in quantity surveying or related fields, with knowledge of head-contracts and Queensland payment rules. Relocation packages are on offer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procurement documentation and commercial comparisons for civil, station, rail and systems packages.
• Administer subcontracts, payment claims, variations, notices and extensions of time.
• Measure work completed during possessions and short access windows.
• Maintain registers for change, latent conditions, access impacts and directions.
• Support forecasting, cost-to-complete reviews and final-account close-out.

Job description

A major transport infrastructure project (valued at more than $1 billion) is underway across South East Queensland, delivering complex rail, station and civil works. Having won numerous major projects in Queensland in the past 12 months, the head contractor is seeking a QS / Contracts Administrator to provide package-level quantity surveying and contract administration for works delivered around live transport assets.

Key Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

• 3-6 years' contractor-side commercial experience; rail or live-asset exposure highly regarded
• Degree in quantity surveying, construction management, law, engineering or a related discipline
• Strong knowledge of head-contract and subcontract administration in a delivery environment
• Working knowledge of Queensland security-of-payment requirements

Australian experience is required.
