Job summary

Prime Protection (QLD) Pty Ltd is expanding its Sunshine Coast operations and seeks an experienced Area Manager. You will oversee staffing and rostering across client sites, ensuring compliance, cost control, and high service levels.

The role reports to the State Operations Manager and requires 2 days per week in Brisbane City. Key responsibilities include staff development, client engagement, and operational reporting, with a focus on rostering integrity and efficient delivery of security

Qualifications

As our QLD operations continue to expand across licensed venues, events, corporate contracts and static guarding portfolios, Prime Protection QLD is seeking an experienced Area Manager for the Sunshine Coast area.

This is a critical role within our QLD Operations Team, responsible for workforce planning, rostering integrity, compliance management and client engagement across the assigned area.

The successful applicant will report directly to the State Operations Manager, working closely within the management team to ensure seamless operational delivery. You will be required to work in the Brisbane City office 2 days a week.

Role Overview

The Area Manager role, as part of the QLD Operations Team ensures:

• Full contractual coverage across all client sites
• Staff performance and development
• Operational efficiency and cost control

This position requires demonstrated experience across:

• Crowd control & licensed premises
• Event security
• Static guarding
• Corporate & government security contracts

Applicants ideally have a minimum of 3+ years' experience working within security services environments, with strong rostering and workforce management capability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Staffing & Rostering Management

• Oversee and manage all rostering functions for the Sunshine Coast
• Ensure all client sites are staffed in accordance with contractual requirements
• Ensure all staff are compliant with all legislative and regulatory frameworks
• Manage last-minute changes, callouts and emergency coverage
• Assist in recruitment, interviewing and onboarding of new security personnel

2. Client Relationship Management

• Build and sustain strong relationships with venue managers and key stakeholders
• Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and service delivery
• Act as a key operational contact for roster and staffing matters
• Support the mobilisation of new contracts and operational rollouts
• Provide proactive communication regarding staffing changes or operational updates

4. Reporting & Administration

• Provide weekly client reports detailing staffing performance and venue management feedback from week-to-week site inspections
• Maintain accurate workforce records and operational documentation
• Assist with day-to-day office administration relating to QLD operations
• Minimum 3+ years' experience in a security or rostering operations role
• Demonstrated experience managing high-volume, multi-site security rosters
• Strong preference for candidates with security industry rostering and workforce management experience
• Current QLD Security License (Class 1 Unrestricted)
• Strong understanding of QLD security legislation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office and computer literacy
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Proven leadership capability
• Weekend work will be required
• Must have Australian work authorization to be eligible for this position
• Experience using Guardhouse,
• Strong knowledge of the North Brisbane and Sunshine Coast areas.
