Job summary

Webuild invites applications for a QA/QC Inspector – SMP to join the Woodman Point Project Team in Henderson, WA. The role focuses on inspections per Project Quality Control Plans and Inspection Test Plans for SMP activities, with responsibility for QC records and compliance.

You will review drawings, perform site tests, report issues, and collaborate with contractors, managers, and engineers to implement corrective actions and maintain project standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience (3+ years) as a Quality Control Inspector in SMP.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality control procedures.
• Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools, measuring instruments, and relevant software.
• Current Australian “C” Class Driver’s Licence.
• Construction White Card.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify the quality of SMP works and construction processes to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accuracy and feasibility of construction methods
• Conduct regular site inspections and tests on workmanship to ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
• Document and report on quality issues, including non-compliance, defects, or deviations from standards, and work with the project team to resolve them
• Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and engineers to ensure timely corrective actions
• Conduct planning, witness inspections and collect relevant QC records
• Verify collection and management of QC documents for final As-Built dossier

Education

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or related field

3+ years SMP QA/QC experience

Quality control knowledge

Codes & safety standards familiarity

Inspection tools proficiency

Measuring instruments proficiency

QA software familiarity

Clough, as part of the Integrate Alliance, is delivering the engineering, procurement and construction for the upgrade of the Woodman Point Water Treatment Facility in Henderson. This is a significant sustainable infrastructure project for the Perth and broader WA community, reducing waste and emissions.

We have an exciting opportunity for a QA/QC Inspector – SMP to join the Woodman Point Project Team in Henderson.

In this role, you will be responsiblefor performing inspections in accordance with Project Quality Control Plans and Inspection Test Plans with reference to SMP activities. You will further follow relevant specified procedures and issue the relevant quality records.

Other tasks and responsibilities include:

• Inspect and verify the quality of SMP works and construction processes to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards
• Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accuracy and feasibility of construction methods
• Conduct regular site inspections and tests on workmanship to ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
• Document and report on quality issues, including any non-compliance, defects, or deviations from standards, and work with the project team to resolve them
• Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and engineers to ensure that all corrective actions are implemented and issues are addressed promptly
• Conduct planning, witness inspections and collect relevant QC records
• Verify the collection and management of documents certifying test,controlsand inspections, checking that all records areproperly retrievable within the final As-Built dossier.
