Job summary

Amazon LEO is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to build and own the quality foundation for the software stack that powers in-flight connectivity for commercial airlines. The role emphasizes integrating quality into every sprint, interface, and milestone from day one.

You will define QMS compliance, establish traceability from requirements through test to certification evidence, and serve as the quality voice in engineering and program decisions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of quality assurance engineering experience.
• Experience in automation testing.
• Experience in manual testing.
• Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects.
• Experience developing high quality test plans, test designs, test strategies, and test execution.
• Experience using test case management tools (Test Rail, TestLink) and issue management tools (Jira).

Responsibilities

• Establish the Quality Management System (QMS) framework and workflows from development through aviation certification and production release.
• Own the test strategy for unit, integration, system, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Build and execute integration test plans for program milestones.
• Establish traceability from requirements to test results via a bidirectional matrix.
• Define and enforce performance testing criteria and build supporting test infrastructure.
• Develop test automation for the CI/CD pipeline.
• Promote testability in design reviews and code reviews.
• Define defect lifecycle and quality metrics reporting for leadership decisions.
• Champion a quality culture across the team and ensure aviation-grade practices.
