Amazon Leo is seeking a Production Quality Engineer to own product performance for critical satellite sub-assemblies and develop novel quality processes. You will drive defect reduction, qualify inspection methods, and collaborate across teams in a fast-paced space manufacturing environment.

Experience with APQP, PFMEA, and MSA is essential. A Master’s degree is a plus. This role requires working within an AS9100 quality system and may include shift rotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.
• 2+ years leading APQP activities (PFMEA, CP, PFD, SPC, MSA).
• Preferred: 2+ years RCA for functional test or mechanical failure.
• Preferred: 2+ years experience with data querying languages (SQL) and scripting (Python).
• Master's in EE or computer engineering preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead as QE for satellite mechanism assemblies, define and validate assembly/test methods and qualification.
• Lead MRB discussions to determine dispositions for nonconforming material.
• Investigate defects and drive root cause corrective actions to reduce recurrence.
• Collaborate with Inspection, Supplier Quality, and Engineering to qualify inspection and verification methods.
• Serve as Quality SME for mechanisms sub-assemblies, owning defect reduction and reporting.
