Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a hands-on Test Development Engineer with a background in hardware/software test development for manufacturing.

Lead test system design, integration testing, and data analysis using MATLAB or Python, while coordinating release of documentation and supporting production trials. Travel domestically and internationally as needed to drive test campaigns and ensure quality across manufacturing lines.

Qualifications

• Experience programming in Python, C++, Java, Ruby, Golang, C#, or Rust.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing hardware test systems.
• Experience with hardware/software integration testing and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development test system design and validation.
• Lead software/hardware integration testing.
• Lead analysis of data using MATLAB or Python.
• Support and organize release of system documents through gate reviews.
• Investigate and troubleshoot yield issues during prototype and production builds.
• Write status/build reports for cross-functional review.
• Drive and prioritize execution of system test campaigns.
• Analyze cross-functional tradeoffs between test designs for performance, schedule, and cost.
• Drive cross-functional schedules and test requirements with hardware team.
• Collaborate with design engineers on design for testability.
• Coordinate with production to define test strategy and setup.
• Develop procedures and troubleshooting guides for production.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
