Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a senior wireless systems engineer to define and develop the overall communication system architecture for Amazon Leo’s wireless network. This role offers the chance to shape ground-breaking wireless technology with few legacy constraints and will focus on integration and verification of HW/SW subsystems.

You will develop custom HW, custom SW and automation for link bring-up and verification, and build advanced proof-of-concept systems to

Qualifications

Master's degree in Electrical or Communications Engineering or related field.
7+ years of wireless communications systems and implementation experience.
Experience in embedded wireless systems or embedded development in C/C++.
Knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP or equivalent networking protocols.
Experience with RF lab equipment including VNA, power meters, spectrum analyzers, vector signal generators.
Experience with MATLAB/Python for test automation.
Experience with RF standards in cellular (4G/5G NR) and related wireless tech.

Responsibilities

Define and implement system architecture and design for the Amazon Leo wireless network.
Integrate link-layer within the stack and verify performance.
Develop custom HW and SW and automation for link bring-up and verification.
Create test plans using embedded programming to generate and capture waveforms in real-time.
Contribute development-test bring-up procedures with Linux, Python, and bash scripts.
