At Nexvia, quality is everyone's job, and we're looking for a QA Engineer to help lead the charge. You'll join our QA team, working closely with the QA Team Lead, developers and product owners to make sure every release is reliable, usable and ready for our customers.
This is a hands-on manual testing role. You'll be the person who thinks like a user, digs into edge cases and catches issues before they ship. It’s a big plus if you've also dabbled in test automation, and there's plenty of room to grow those skills here.
Plan and run manual functional, regression, exploratory and user acceptance testing across web applications
Write clear, reusable test cases and test plans from user stories and acceptance criteria
Log, track and retest defects, with clear steps to reproduce and evidence
Join sprint ceremonies and refinement sessions to flag risks and testability issues early
Test APIs and integrations, and validate data across systems
Support release readiness and sign-off under the guidance of the QA Team Lead
Help improve QA processes, test coverage and documentation
Contribute to automated test suites where you have the skills (or want to learn)
2–5 years' experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on manual testing
Solid understanding of testing methodologies, the software development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum
Experience writing test cases and test plans from requirements or user stories
A sharp eye for detail and a curious, "what could break this?" mindset
Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g. Jira, TestRail, Xray or Zephyr)
Basic API testing experience (e.g. Postman)
Clear written and verbal communication — you can explain a bug to a developer and a risk to a product owner
Working rights in Australia
Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium
Basic SQL for data validation
Experience with performance or accessibility testing
ISTQB Foundation or similar certification
Hybrid working — a mix of office days in Brisbane and working from home
Learning and development budget, including support to build your automation skills
A clear growth path, with mentoring from an experienced QA Team Lead
Flexible hours to fit around your life
A collaborative team that values quality and good ideas
Birthday leave
End of quarter events and a great company culture
