Nexigen Digital is seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer on the Gold Coast, Australia. You’ll join an agile team to deliver projects and continuously improve internal and customer-facing systems, focusing on software quality and proactive problem solving.

The role involves creating test plans, detailed documentation, and mentoring developers in self-testing. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in SDLC, strong SQL and API experience, and excellent communication in a collaborative

Qualifications

• One to three years in software development life cycle, including hands-on QA work.
• Strong eye for detail and ability to spot UX problems.
• Good understanding of software development and programming concepts.
• Curious mindset; able to think outside the box for edge cases.
• Strong analytical and debugging problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable with a team.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and command line.
• Proficient SQL querying and relational databases (MySQL).
• Ability to craft precise test scenarios, including data edits/tests.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and SOAP Web Services.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly test changes and new features across platforms.
• Create detailed test plans and track outcomes in documentation.
• Collaborate with developers to fix defects and quality issues.
• Ensure final work meets feature scope and requirements.
• Validate that features work as intended and report findings.
• Educate engineers on defects and improve self-testing practices.
