Job summary

CR3 is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join our Canberra team and elevate software quality across education and enterprise environments. You will design and maintain automated test frameworks, drive CI/CD integration, and collaborate with developers, product managers and other QA professionals to ensure robust, reliable software releases.

You will work hands-on with Selenium, Cypress, and modern test tools, applying strong programming skills in Java, Python or JavaScript.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related field.
• At least three years in QA automation within product development.
• Hands-on with Selenium and Cypress.
• Proficiency in Java, Python or JavaScript, with Java preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Familiarity with web tech (HTML, CSS, React/Angular) and API testing (Postman/REST Assured).
• Excellent communication and collaboration across technical teams.
• Detail-oriented with focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression and performance testing.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support reliable releases.
• Develop and maintain test cases and scripts based on requirements and user stories.
• Configure and maintain stable test environments for automation.
• Identify, document and track defects, collaborating with developers to resolve issues.
• Monitor test coverage and report automation progress and quality metrics.
• Contribute to evolving testing frameworks and QA processes.
