Job summary

Cadence Connect is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to establish a dedicated quality function from scratch in our Brisbane-based organization. Reporting to the Solutions Architect, you will own QA from day one, shaping approach, introducing practical processes, and building scalable automation.

As the go-to person for quality across every release, you will collaborate with developers, product managers and stakeholders, defining QA strategy, plans, and standards while driving improvements to tools

Qualifications

• 5+ years across manual and automated testing, including regression and release testing in an agile team.
• Experience as a QA Analyst or QA Engineer, ideally having established QA where none existed before.
• Solid automation experience with Playwright, or a comparable tool.
• Confidence writing and reviewing test code in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of outcomes.
• Clear communication skills, including explaining technical issues to non-technical people.
• A collaborative approach, with the confidence to push back when quality is at risk.

About the role

Reporting to the Solutions Architect, you’ll take ownership of QA from day one. You’ll shape the overall approach, introduce practical processes, and build automation that can scale as the business grows.

Working alongside developers, product managers and stakeholders, you’ll be the go-to person for quality across every release.

This is a Hybrid role, in the office for 3 days per week (Brisbane CBD) and 2 days per week from home!
