Job summary

Plasdene Glass-Pak is seeking a proactive purchaser to join our team in Milperra. You will manage a broad portfolio of supply partners, generate inventory POs from SAP, and determine optimal order quantities to keep stock levels aligned with demand.

In this role you will follow up PO progress, place orders for stock and capital items, and maintain accurate inventory records and product specifications. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in a similar purchasing role.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret reports and data.
• Experience with SAP is advantageous.
• Excellent planning, organisational and problem solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prompt and efficient follow up of purchase orders.
• Place orders on vendors for stock, non-stock and capital items.
• Maintain inventory master files, including kits and BOMs.

About The Role

Our purchasing team is highly valued and is critical for the continuing growth of our business, supporting our 8-branch network across Australia & New Zealand.

You will be proactive, accurate and efficient, taking ownership for your key accountabilities including:

Liaise with a large portfolio of supply partners

Create inventory PO’s from suggestions from our SAP system and deciding on appropriate order quantities

Prompt and efficient follow up of purchase orders

Place orders on vendors for stock, non-stock and capital items

Maintain inventory master files, including kits and BOM's

Maintain records of all product specifications and drawings

About You

We are seeking an experienced candidate together with:

A proven track record in a similar role

Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret reports and data

Experience with SAP, although not essential, would be advantageous

Excellent planning, organisational and problem solving skills

Flexibility to multi-task and work unsupervised and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Maturity and a sense of urgency

High attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with customers and suppliers
