Job summary

MLG Oz is seeking a motivated Purchasing Officer to join the Inventory & Purchasing team in Perth. The role focuses on arranging purchases, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining stock for multiple sites within the mining and resources sector.

You will work with internal teams and suppliers, handle order processing, and help develop your purchasing and inventory management skills in a hands-on, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Good communication and customer service abilities.
• Basic computer literacy and adaptability to new systems.
• Full unrestricted Australian C Class Driver's Licence.
• High Risk Work Licence - Forklift.

Responsibilities

• Raising and managing purchase orders.
• Following up suppliers on orders and delivery schedules.
• Receiving and checking incoming goods.
• Maintaining accurate inventory records and stock levels.
• Coordinating freight movements and dispatch requirements.
• Assisting with stocktakes and inventory audits.
• Building positive relationships with suppliers and site personnel.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives in purchasing and stores.
