Job summary

Rexel in Melbourne’s Dandenong branch is seeking an experienced purchasing/procurement professional to keep stock levels accurate and respond to customer needs. You will balance supplier relations, inventory planning and internal sales support to ensure the right stock is available at the right time.

You will work with suppliers, customers and the branch team to deliver a seamless customer experience, with opportunities to optimise pricing, manage KPIs and contribute to branch profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory control in electrical wholesale or similar trade environment
• Strong understanding of supplier agreements, purchasing processes and market conditions
• Excellent attention to detail, commercial awareness and data confidence
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced branch
• Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders
• Customer-focused mindset and willingness to support Internal Sales when needed

Responsibilities

• Manage branch replenishment to maintain optimal stock and align with planning schedules
• Monitor and maintain stock policy, identify opportunities to improve availability
• Track open purchase orders and optimise supplier delivery performance
• Analyse pricing across branches and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Monitor purchasing and inventory KPIs including PO lines, cost variance
• Support Internal Sales with customer orders, enquiries and quotations
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal customers
