Rexel’s Dandenong branch in Australia plays a pivotal role in keeping our industrial customers stocked with the right products. You’ll balance inventory control, supplier management and internal sales support to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory control, ideally within electrical wholesale or a similar trade-based environment.
• Strong understanding of supplier agreements, purchasing processes and market conditions.
• Excellent attention to detail, commercial awareness and confidence working with data.
• The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced branch environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative approach.
• A customer-focused mindset and willingness to support Internal Sales when needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage branch replenishment to maintain optimal stock levels and purchase in line with planning schedules.
• Monitor and maintain stock policy, identifying opportunities to improve inventory levels and availability.
• Track open purchase orders, manage supplier delivery performance and optimise purchase order schedules.
• Analyse pricing across branches, identify cost-saving opportunities and help reduce cost variance.
• Monitor purchasing and inventory KPIs, including PO lines, SIFOT and cost variance.
• Support the Internal Sales team with customer orders, product enquiries, quotations and follow-up.
• Build effective relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders and industrial customers.

Job Description

Play a key role in keeping our industrial-focused Dandenong branch supplied, organised and responsive to customers.

This is a varied opportunity for an experienced purchasing or procurement professional who enjoys balancing inventory control, supplier management and internal sales support. You’ll work closely with suppliers, customers and the branch team to ensure the right stock is available at the right time, while helping deliver a seamless customer experience.

About the role
