Job summary

Rexel Bendigo is seeking an Internal Sales team member to join our branch. You will provide friendly customer service to trades, respond to queries, prepare quotes and support the sales team in a busy branch environment.

Based in Victoria, you will develop broad electrical wholesale knowledge and grow your career within a global organisation, with opportunities across Rexel’s national network.

Qualifications

• Experience in internal sales, customer service, account support, retail or a similar customer-facing role.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Attention to detail, particularly when preparing quotes and processing orders.

Responsibilities

• Providing friendly and professional customer service to electrical trades, businesses and commercial customers.
• Responding to customer enquiries in person, over the phone and via email.
• Preparing accurate and competitive quotes.
• Following up quotes and identifying opportunities to convert enquiries into sales.

Job Description

Rexel Bendigo is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Internal Sales team member to join our branch following an internal promotion.

Based in one of Victoria’s key regional centres, this role offers the opportunity to build strong local customer relationships, develop broad electrical wholesale knowledge and grow your career within a global organisation. You’ll work in a hands‑on and collaborative branch environment, with the support of an experienced team and access to development opportunities across Rexel’s national network.

A typical day will involve

• Providing friendly and professional customer service to electrical trades, businesses and commercial customers
• Responding to customer enquiries in person, over the phone and via email
• Preparing accurate and competitive quotes
• Following up quotes and identifying opportunities to convert enquiries into sales
• Building strong, long‑term relationships with customers
• Supporting the external sales team and working collaboratively with the wider branch

Qualifications

You are proactive, organised and enjoy helping customers find the right solution. You communicate confidently with a broad range of people and take pride in following through on commitments.

You Will Ideally Bring

• Experience in internal sales, customer service, account support, retail, trade counter or a similar customer‑facing role
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
• A genuine focus on delivering excellent customer service
• The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
• Attention to detail, particularly when preparing quotes and processing orders
• Confidence using computer systems and learning new product ranges
• A positive, reliable and solutions‑focused attitude
• A willingness to learn and develop a long‑term sales career

Experience in electrical wholesale, trade supply, construction, industrial products or a related industry will be highly regarded; however, it is not essential. We welcome applications from people with transferable sales or customer service experience and the right attitude to learn.
