Job summary

Visy Tumut pulp & paper mill is seeking an experienced Pulp Mill Operator to oversee safe, efficient operation of Digester, Re-caust & Lime Kiln processes and related utilities. You will monitor plant performance from the control room and respond to abnormal conditions to maintain production targets.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in a pulp mill or similar high-risk manufacturing environment, tertiary qualification in Pulp & Paper Operations or related engineering, and a

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a Pulp Mill, Refinery or similar high risk manufacturing environment.
• Tertiary qualification in Pulp & Paper Operations or related engineering field.
• Safety-first mindset with compliance to OHS&E policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plant equipment and processes safely and efficiently.
• Remotely control processes from the pulp mill control room via a Digital Control System (DCS).
• Conduct inspections, routine tasks, and collect process samples on site.
• Analyze, record and adjust process performance and efficiency.
• Identify and report maintenance requirements and coordinate with maintenance teams.
• Isolate and de-isolate equipment for maintenance and outages.
