Job summary

ALH Hotels is seeking a hands-on Publican (Venue Manager) for The Blue Cattle Dog Hotel in Sydney. Lead from the front, own the pub experience, ensure safety and compliance, and build a high-performing team in a family‑friendly dining environment.

RSA and RCG licenses are required per NSW regulations. You’ll manage operations, drive guest satisfaction, and foster strong local ties across the venue and wider Endeavour Group network.

Publican (Venue Manager) | Blue Cattle Dog Hotel

We’re not just looking for a Venue Manager, we're on the hunt for a REAL Publican, someone who lives and breathes hospitality, leads from the front, and brings locals together by creating pub experiences they love.

The Blue Cattle Dog Hotel has created an environment that caters to people from all walks of life who work, live or frequent St Clair and the area nearby. With a large, family‑friendly dining environment, multiple bars and state of the art TAB Sports Lounge plus our unique Barbershop, there really is no other venue like the Blue Cattle Dog Hotel. If a getaway is what our guests are after, Nightcap at Blue Cattle Dog Hotel boasts 34 recently renovated rooms with all the additions and facilities to ensure a comfortable stay.

Salary: From $110,000 + superannuation + bonus

Inherent requirements:

This is a hands‑on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
