Job summary

Beilby Downing Teal partners with the WA public sector in delivering trusted recruitment and HR solutions for over 25 years. We are seeking experienced recruitment consultants to join our Perth Government Practice to work with government agencies in selecting suitably skilled staff through an objective and robust selection process.

You will support panels by documenting candidate evidence, panel deliberations and appointment recommendations, and manage shortlisting, interviews, referee checks

Qualifications

• Experience supporting government or public sector recruitment and selection processes.
• Excellent writing, note-taking, analytical and report-preparation skills.
• A sound understanding of merit, equity, procedural fairness and confidentiality.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and accurately under pressure.
• Professional judgement and confidence working with senior panel members.
• Responsiveness, discretion and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate panel briefings, shortlisting meetings, interviews and final deliberations.
• Capture accurate, objective notes of candidate evidence and panel discussions.
• Guide panels in applying approved selection criteria consistently and in accordance with internal policies.
• Prepare shortlisting matrices, interview summaries, referee checks and selection reports.
• Document comparative assessments, conclusions and recommendations clearly.
• Incorporate feedback and finalise high-quality documents within agreed deadlines.
• Maintain strict confidentiality, impartiality and secure information handling.
