Job summary

The Salvation Army Australia is seeking a Psychologist, Provisional Psychologist or Social Worker for Gippsland. You will provide counselling and psychological assessments to job seekers, addressing barriers to employment and supporting mental health.

This role offers part-time and full-time options, with location confirmed at interview and opportunities to work across Employment Plus sites in the region. AHPRA registration and driving license required, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Registration as a psychologist with AHPRA (provisional or general).
• Experience delivering counselling to vulnerable individuals.
• Experience with mental health conditions and psychosocial needs.
• Ability to travel to Employment Plus sites.
• Strong communication with diverse clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological and vocational assessments for referred job seekers using appropriate tests.
• Provide counselling and therapeutic interventions to address barriers to employment.
• Provide consultation support to Employment Plus staff in the region.
• Liaise with internal and external service providers to strengthen services for job seekers.
• Communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
