Job summary

Agilent Technologies Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Toolmaker – CNC Specialist fitter to join our prototype machine shop in Melbourne. You will turn product designs into reality, support part rework, and fabricate jigs and fixtures to improve ease of manufacturing.

The role blends precision machining with problem solving and craftsmanship. The ideal candidate has trade qualifications in fitting/turning or tool making, strong CNC programming experience, GD&T knowledge, and

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications in fitting and turning or tool making.
• High skill level on manual lathe & mill, working to low tolerances.
• CNC programming experience.
• Strong drawing comprehension with a good understanding of GD&T.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD/CAM Software (Siemens NX, NX CAM, SolidWorks, SolidCAM, Fusion360) would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Turn product designs into reality in a prototype shop.
• Provide manufacturing support on part rework activities.
• Fabricate jigs/fixtures to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Operate CNC machines and perform programming as required.
