Agilent Technologies in Melbourne seeks an experienced Toolmaker - CNC Specialist fitter to join our prototype machine shop. You will turn product designs into reality, operate CNC machines and develop programs as required.

Ideal candidates have trade qualifications in fitting and turning or tool making, excellent manual lathe/mill skills, and hands-on craftsmanship with hand tools to produce precision parts while supporting product development through creative problem solving.

Formación

• Trade qualifications in Fitting and Turning or Tool Making.
• Experience in a low volume production or prototype facility.
• High skill level on manual lathe & mill, working to low tolerances.
• CNC programming experience.
• Strong drawing comprehension with a good understanding of GD&T.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD/CAM software (e.g. Siemens NX and Siemens NX CAM, Solidworks, Solidcam and Fusion360) would be an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Turn product designs into functional components in prototype projects.
• Provide manufacturing support on part rework activities.
• Fabricate jigs/fixtures to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Operate and program CNC machinery.
• Apply hands-on craftsmanship with a range of hand tools to produce precision parts.
