Job summary

Arts Northern Rivers is seeking a Property Services Lead to oversee the management of its diverse property portfolio and lead a high-performing Property Services team.

You will report to the Manager, Commercial and Property Services and drive leasing, licensing, acquisitions, disposals and tenure management while ensuring compliance and accurate records to support informed decision‑making across the organisation. This is a role for strategic thinking and hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Property Management, Commerce, Law, Asset/Facilities Management or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Native Title Management Accreditation (or willing to obtain).
• Proven experience in property, asset or land management with the ability to manage complex property matters, provide sound advice and achieve positive community and commercial outcomes.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Well developed strategic, financial and problem solving capability, with experience managing projects, budgets and resources in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent, high-quality property operations, including leases, licences, acquisitions, disposals and tenure management, delivered on time and to a professional standard.
• Well‑managed property transactions and agreements, with oversight of documentation, compliance obligations and risk exposure.
• Reliable property data and records, ensuring systems, registers and documentation are accurate, current and audit-ready.
• Effective coordination across stakeholders, aligning internal teams, community groups, contractors and agencies to deliver property outcomes.
• Provide expert advice to support sound property decision-making across the organisation.

About this Position:

Are you an experienced property professional with a passion for delivering community and commercial outcomes? Council is seeking a Property Services Lead to oversee the management of our diverse property portfolio and lead a high performing Property Services team.

Reporting the the Manager, Commercial and Property Services, you will be responsible for managing a broad range of property matters, including leasing, licensing, acquisition, disposals, developments, encroachments and facility tenure arrangements. You will ensure legislative compliance, maintain accurate property records, and provide expert advice to support sound property decision-making across the organisation.

What you will need to be successful:

• Tertiary qualification in Property Management, Commerce, Law, Asset/Facilities Management or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Native Title Management Accreditation (or willing to obtain).
• Proven experience in property, asset or land management, with the ability to manage complex property matters, provide sound advice and achieve positive community and commercial outcomes.
• Strong leadership, communication and stake holder engagement skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence outcomes and build productive relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Well developed strategic, financial and problem solving capability, with experience managing projects, budgets and resources, and delivering results in a complex and customer- focused environment.

Salary:

A salary range from $107,605 to $123,746 per annum + superannuation
