Banyule City Council is seeking a proactive Property Officer (Land Transactions) to progress land sales, road discontinuances, encroachments and land agreements from enquiry to completion. Working under the Strategic Properties and Projects team, you will build specialist knowledge of public land and gain hands-on experience in complex property dealings.

The role is hybrid, full-time on a two-year fixed term contract, with a salary range of AUD 83,324.29 to 96,497.25 per year plus super.

Competenze

• Experience or qualifications in a property-related field.
• Ability to interpret property titles, plans and land status with commercial judgement.
• Experience with statutory land processes or capacity to learn applicable legislation.

• Progress land sales and road discontinuance opportunities from inquiry to contract.
• Interpret titles, plans and land status to identify constraints.
• Engage with landowners and prospective purchasers to support negotiations.
• Investigate encroachments and develop sale, licence or other land arrangements.
• Assist in negotiating land agreements including infrastructure leases.
• Maintain records and report actions, outcomes and timeframes.
