YHA Pittwater Ecois a vibrant and welcoming property nestled on the hillside of Morning Bay in Ku-ring-gai National Park, this unique eco-retreat offers breathtaking views and a tranquil escape for all, located on the traditional lands of the Garigal people of the Eora Nation.
YHA Pittwater Eco features a range of private, family and co-living rooms with shared bathrooms and facilities, including a self-catering kitchen, cosy lounge area with fireplace (for the cooler months!) access to a BBQ, convenient proximity to local walks, sporting equipment where guests can explore the surrounding bushland, kayak on the bay, or simply relax.
This is a beautiful location, and please note, that the property is remote and only accessible by boat or ferry.
About the role
We are looking for a collaborative and inspiring Live inProperty Managerto take the lead of in this great Eco property. Accommodation is a separate residence onsite with stunning views. Would suit a Manager who is passionate about caring for the environment, loves outdoor adventures and water sports. Management Couples also welcome to apply.
You’ll not only manage a property, you’ll shape a destination and inspire a team whist delivering exceptional guest experiences.
You will get to collaborate with our national network of over 20 properties. You won’t just be running a hotel, you’ll be shaping a destination through:
Inspiring and developing your team. Recruiting, mentoring and coaching a passionate, motivated small team of up to 2-3, creating a culture where people want to work and build a career in hospitality
Managing budgets and controlling costs to maximise profitability and efficiency without compromising our guest or team experience
Collaborating with our support offices to align marketing, partnerships and promotions of the property are strategically aligned with our values and growth plans
Driving operational excellence whilst creating an environment where the curious come to connect with local and genuine experiences
Ensuring our compliance and quality control remain of the highest standards whilst supporting our inclusive, sustainable practices
Maintaining relationships with local community groups and businesses
Proven successful leadership in hotels or the accommodation industry as General Manager, Hotel Manager or similar
Passion for being creative andthinking differently and embracing local culture and offerings
Financial acumen and budget management experience with a similar style accommodation property
An advocate for change and constant evolution to ensure best practice and innovative leadership
Knowledge and respect for the local environment and economy
